On the 29th of April, 8 teams of adrenaline-seeking drivers participated in a fantastic team karting event at Wight Karting, located near Ryde on the picturesque Isle of Wight. The event was designed to be an exciting and competitive experience for everyone involved, and it certainly did not disappoint.
Upon arrival, the participants were welcomed by the friendly staff and given a safety briefing before suiting up with helmets and suits. Each team were then allocated a kart and then decided their tactics for the race.
As the engines roared to life, the teams took to the track, pushing their karts to the limit and overtaking each other at every opportunity.
The event consisted of 30-minute practice session, followed by an hour and a half long final, where each team were required to make 5 driver changes.
As the final lap approached, the atmosphere was electric. Team Demon Tweeks, Hot Wheels and Team R.J.H were pushing themselves and their karts to the absolute limit, leaving nothing on the track. In the end, one team emerged victorious, taking home the trophy and bragging rights for the day.
The results:
1st Team R.J.H ended up winners completing 149 laps in total, which equates to a distance of over 75 kilometres! *
2nd Team Hot Wheels came a close second, completing 148 laps in total. **
3rd Last time winners Team Demon Tweeks recovered well from an early incident to climb back up to the podium spot, also completing 148 laps just 2 seconds behind 2nd! ***
