What we can offer you!

At Wight Karting, we welcome school and group visits suited to Upper Key Stage 2, years 4 to 13, for adrenaline-filled fun & excitement in all weathers, all year round.

All our karts are equipped with an electronic speed-restrictor (a De-Haardt system), which means track marshals can slow-down or STOP any kart or all kart, at all times using a Remote Control. As a result, this has given us an exemplary discipline and accident record whilst allowing us to teach responsible risk management in a fun environment. Young people grow in self-confidence and the team bonding enjoyed on-site lasts way beyond our track.

We can create bespoke PSHE, mathematics and science education outcomes as part of our ‘Adrenaline Junkie‘ learning scheme – applied to our young karting students through our ‘Junior Track Days‘.

We give personalised, clear instructions (click here for an example) to all drivers, and have clear rules which must be followed, in a uniquely hospitable, friendly way from our fully accessible clubhouse. Meals (only available when pre-ordered) or snack & drinks are available on site, with showers and plenty of changing area as required.

Our prices include all race suit hire, safety briefing/instruction, supervision, and changing facilities.

Key information and facilities:

  • No open-toed shoes when racing (e.g. flip-flops)

  • On-site cafe and bar – meals available from £7 per person (vegetarian options available) upon prior booking

  • Plenty of on-site free parking

  • Coach drop-off available

  • Extensive viewing balcony

  • Telephone on-site

Safety Briefing:

Everyone racing on our track will receive an in-depth, comprehensive safety briefing as shown by the video below. Be sure to watch the video to get an insight into the rules of our track and for some driving tips!

Tried and tested by…

Students love it! Especially getting dressed up in all the racing gear and having their photos taken on the track and on the podium. Wight Karting is such a great experience and amazing value for money, so much so we’ve had students pay to go twice in their three weeks here!

Education First (EF)

4th August 2018

Brilliant service from start to finish. We called the day before and despite being busy, were scheduled in for the next day. Everyone had a really excellent time and the staff were both enthusiastic and helpful throughout. The experience was very professional with a safety briefing and a track walk with our 28 children beforehand. We liked the screens in the waiting area as this allowed those not racing to stay engaged/occupied whilst not racing.

Heyford Park Scouts

6th August 2018

Our Scout group really enjoyed the thrill & speed of trying something they wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to do. They had such an amazing time, with plenty of time on the track to perfect the ultimate driving line! The staff were so accommodating for our group, ranging from ages 8 to adults.

Eastbourne Scouts

27th July 2018

I would like to take this opportunity to say a really big thank you for being part of the diverse selection of activities for our 2018 Activity Allsorts programme! It was a real success and enjoyed by both staff and students alike. In addition to the obvious enjoyment, students were also able to develop, expand and challenge existing skills, develop confidence and make new friends. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
